New for 2018
The 2018 Nissan GT-R gets a new base trim level called the Pure, slotting below the Premium grade.
Trim Levels (Interior and Exterior Options)
The 2018 Nissan GT-R is the automaker’s flagship supercar and it comes standard with all-wheel drive. Four trims are available in the 2018 GT-R.
GT-R Pure: Standard features on the base Pure trim includes 20-inch Rays forged alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, a six-speaker audio system, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, navigation, Apple CarPlay integration, Bluetooth, a rearview camera, keyless entry/start, dual-zone climate control, leather and synthetic suede upholstery, full LED headlights and heated front seats.
GT-R Premium: The Premium trim adds an 11-speaker Bose audio system with active noise cancellation, an active sound enhancer, and a titanium exhaust system.
GT-R Track Edition: Slotting between the GT-R Premium and the GT-R NISMO, the Track Edition gets additional adhesive bonding for improved body rigidity, a NISMO-tuned suspension that’s lighter and stiffer, 20-inch NISMO forged alloy wheels, NISMO-specific tires, Recaro front bucket seats and a carbon fiber rear spoiler.
GT-R NISMO: In addition to the added power, the GT-R NISMO gets the same body and suspension modifications as the Track Edition but adds a NISMO-specific aero kit, a different carbon fiber rear spoiler, and an Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel.
Notable options include all-season tires and a Premium Interior package with hand-stitched semi-aniline leather upholstery.
Performance and Fuel Economy
The 2018 Nissan GT-R is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6 paired to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. On the Pure, Premium and Track Edition, it’s rated at 565 hp and 467 lb-ft of torque while the NISMO is rated at 600 hp and 481 lb-ft. EPA fuel economy estimates are 16/22 mpg city/highway.
Safety
The NHTSA and IIHS haven’t crash tested the 2018 GT-R. There are no active safety features available on the 2018 GT-R.
Utility
Trunk space in the 2018 GT-R is 8.8 cubic feet and can be expanded via the standard split-folding rear seats.
